Miley Cyrus also known as Hannah Montanna is making headlines every day. You can turn on the tv, surf the net, pick up the newspaper and the fifteen year old will be staring right at you with that great big smile. Just this week, Cyrus took home the major awards at Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. Cyrus took home the trophies for favorite female singer and favorite TV actress. She also performed her song "Girls Night Out."
I am the most impressed with her ability to stay normal. I was surprised to hear this ability comes from a solid foundation in the Christian faith. Cyrus recently told Fox News that she contributes all she has and who she is to Jesus Christ. How refreshing to hear a young role model of today living and professing a love of Jesus Christ.
"I think it's my faith that keeps me grounded, especially because I'm a Christ follower for sure," Cyrus told us. "Live like Christ and he'll live in you, and that's what I want to do."
As a mom, I find it very amazing that I can point to someone so young and show my kids a Christian example. Her quote is so child-like and still filled with so much wisdom.
She also showed her gratitude to God recently at the Kids Choice Award as well. Cyrus, in a black dress with silver spangles, thanked several people, including her mother, father, agent, manager "and my lord and savior Jesus Christ."
As if her maturity and wisdom beyond her years weren't enough, I am also blown away by the multi-million dollar girl's abilities and talents. She is completely involved with the process. She writes a lot of her own songs. Recently, in an interview with Fox it was evident how much she is involved in the process.
" My favorite songs to write are break-up songs - you can start being happy and you can do fun turns," she added. "It's really fun to mess with the format of those songs."
Seriously, most 15 year olds have no clue what a turn is in a song.
I have always been the type of person to not jump on a bandwagon or be a fanatic, but with Cyrus it is hard not to be. I definitely have a hard time steering my kids from being one when everything she does seems to be good.
I thank God for her and I can't wait to see how he uses her for His kingdom. In the meantime, I am going to keep enjoying the "Best of Both Worlds" in Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana.

Kudos to Billy Ray and his wife! It's too bad more kids in Hollywood don't have parents like them.
Dear Laura: Great article, prophetic, especially considering the photos now surfacing. I don't think the pictures are that bad, but they might be a mistake. The press makes them worse than they are. Thanks for joining my fan club. I have been your fan for some time. You are the best. Marty RicKard
