Internet Providers To Shut Down Tuesday For Five Hours

In order to bring attention to the increasing use of fossil fuels, over 75 internet providers have joined forces and will shut down service from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The group, spearheaded by the major Internet Providers Comcast, AT & T, Verizon and Charter Communications, has garnered a ton of support world wide for this green cause.
It is still unclear as to if this is a sincere concern or if it is the corporations' ploy to jump on the Global Warming bandwagon.
Businesses across the country are concerned about the fall out of such an action will have on the economy. The execs feel the shut down was the best way to get their point across to the individuals and businesses to show the amount of waste.
When asked if they feel it could possibly create some backlash from customers, the execs responded, "it is a risk we will have to take to teach consumers about the amount of fossil fuels disappearing faster that the speed of our Internet service."
