Thirty Three Things I Love About My Husband

My man is celebrating thirty-three years on this earth. To celebrate the occasion I decided to write 33 reasons why I love him. Bear with me, I debated between ten and 33 since I am not sure I can honestly come up with 33. But since, it is the internet, it doesn't all have to be true. Just joking, honey!
Here is the list:
- He loves God!
- He is the best friend that everyone wants.
- He is still sexy at 33!
- He smells good most of the time.
- He is very talented at what he does.
- He can make me melt by singing.
- He is athletic.
- He is smart.
- His dancing looks like he is having convulsions.
- He makes me laugh in other ways besides how he dances.
- He is too good for me.
- He is obsessive compulsive (yes, it is annoying at times, but it can also be cute watching him count)
- He is a good brother-he continually cares and prays for his younger brothers.
- He prays for our kids.
- He is an amazing father!
- He puts off his own wants to help/do what his kids need or want.
- He is a great cook-best fajita maker in town. I should know, he made them on our first date.
- He is a strong male influence on our kids or in other words, he does what is right in disciplining.
- He can hit every curb in a 30 mile radius. It is just a talent.
- He makes me smile.
- He makes up silly songs about random things.
- He takes care of the toothpaste-squeezing it the "right" way.
- He takes out the trash on Mondays and Thursdays.
- He stays up late working after we have all retired so that he can value the time we do have together and still provide for all of us.
- He taught me the amazing benefit/taste of a Blue Bell Milk Chocolate Shake.
- He isn't afraid to get down and play with the kids.
- He gives great hugs and kisses.
- He provides security.
- He is the best tickle monster in town.
- He knows the words to every 80's hairband love song. Move over Bon Jovi and Nelson!
- He is the last to bed and the first up and doesn't mind helping with getting the kids ready.
- He is mine!
- He has good taste in women (o.k. Had to sneak that in)
Here is to a Happy Birthday to the man that still makes me melt! I love you and hope we are together for the next 33 years. Although, the thought of you being old, senile and hairy is not appealing at the moment, I look forward to calling you old at 66!

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Good luck coming up with 66 things you like about your husband, or any man for that matter. I envy your relationship and I don't have to tell you to cherish your time together because it is obvious you already do. The tooth paste is a major accomplishment, you go girl!
Hi Laura. Those are some powerful good reasons to love your man. I finally gave up on the toothpaste thing and just use my own tube. But I wonder about number three. Don't tell me you think 33 is old!Hugs to you both,Dianne
I love how you write! You are witty, very funny, and it is always a pleasure to read your work. I have a tendency to like to read articles that is based on real life, rather than the "How Too's" or those who write about things they really are not "Experts" in. That is why real life stories appeal to me. I have read articles that are somewhat depressing about our country, global warming, bad politics, etc, but I never find real life experiences boring......Great write, and great read. Oh, and by the way, I guess that doesn't make me "old" yet, I am only 62 HA!! Well done my friend, well done.
